Here’s our recording of the speeches from the Protest The Pope rally yesterday outside Downing Street in full. It was kindly recorded by Liz, and is completely unedited (so we can get this up as soon as possible), so your mileage may vary. Speakers include Andrew Copson, British Humanist Association Chief Executive, Terry Sanderson, President of the National Secular Society, Dr Ben Goldacre, Independent columnist Johann Hari and many more.
We’ll have interviews and stuff with some of the people who made up the crowd of 20,000 on Friday’s show. This raw recording will not be available on the normal Pod Delusion feed – so you’ll have to listen to it here!
Today is the big day we’ve been trailing for a while on the Pod Delusion – the day of the big Protest The Pope march and rally. We’re going to be there covering it for the podcast, and will also be broadcasting live audio throughout the day. Stay tuned to the Pod Delusion website or our Twitter or Facebook pages for updates.
Use the little left and right arrow buttons in the top left to page back and forth between audio updates.
We’ll hopefully also be putting together a special podcast later, if we get enough material.
Last night as part of the Protest the Pope campaign, a charity gig called Relief-o-matic was organised by the British Humanist Association. I was there and excitingly, got to speak to many well known names – so I present a special edition podcast for the Protest the Pope Campaign. You can still listen to last week’s excellent episode of The Pod Delusion here.
Guests include: Robin Ince, Ed Byrne, Ben Goldacre, Horse and Louis, Andrew Copson, Natalie Haynes, Richard Herring, Nick Doody, Peter Tatchell, Tony Hawks, The BHA Choir, Audacity Chutzpah, and Tim Minchin.
