Just listening to the Labour Leadership article.
Robert thinks that people should vote for Andy Burnham, for being the most-left wing candidate.
Let’s look at :
pro-ID cards;
pro-anti-terror laws;
pro-Iraq war, and also against an investigation into it;
pro-top-up fees;
against an elected House of Lords;
against Parliamentary transparency;
against laws to stop climate change;
pro-Trident; and
in favour ministers being able intervene in inquests
He also never votes against the Labour line.
Based on his record, he can only be described as a stereotypical New Labour politician.
I enjoyed Dean Brunett’s segment, but found it very difficult to understand. The audio quality was not very good. More important, he spoke quite fast. It would help us non-British listeners if in future contributions (which I’m looking forward to) he would speak more slowly and articulate a bit more.
