Hi, just found this podcast as a “new skeptic” gearing up to attend TAM London. Apart from some sound issues, I thought it was great, especially the atheism piece. I’m looking forward to future episodes and keep up the good work!
The question over whether Skeptics and Atheists are synonymous and interchangable is one that I’ve pondered a lot. Whenever I ask anybody for a definition of Skeptics and Skepticism the reply I get is that it’s a person or thoughtform which embraces rationalism and science. But there are many of people who are not Skeptics, and who are sometimes opponents of prominent Skeptics, who claim to be scientific and rational. So that is more of a slogan than a definition.
