    Having done clerical work in a paper-based hospital, I agree with Simon Howard – but not for the same reason. Trawling through the paper stacks was slow, labour intensive, and prone to mistakes. The gains to be had overhauling this system are easily worth 12 billion quid, even without the medical advances.

    I’ve never really been a fan of podcasts. It’s related to the reason why I rarely listen to talk radio – I think that audio is a really inefficient way to absorb information. I could take in the information at……
